Timothy Nichols, OD

Tim Nichols graduated from the University of Alabama School of Optometry in 1981. He immediately began practice in Albertville, Alabama. Progressing from the “absolutely clueless phase” of practice ownership to the “semi-clueless but highly distracted phase”, he learned most lessons from the school of hard knocks. Midcareer he began to focus on the business of Optometry and enjoyed a high level of success and professional satisfaction by his retirement in 2021. Recognized as his state’s Optometrist of the Year and his alma mater’s Alumnus of the Year, he currently serves as the president of the Alabama State Board of Optometry.
