One of the highlights of this year’s meeting, Corcoran’s ICD-10 workshop offered both education and hands-on training utilizing the new coding structure. Specific to optometry and ophthalmology, Corcoran addressed how the changes will impact practices and the correct methods for coding to improve accuracy and compliance. Guests then worked with their staff and Corcoran’s staff to navigate practical examples using the new coding guidelines. This real-world experience gave guests a taste of what they can expect once the October 1, 2015 deadline hits. Attendees raved about the knowledge they earned through the workshop.
“Kevin Corcoran was awesome and the presentation was very beneficial.” – Dr. Troy Maydew, Maydew Thibault Optometry
“Working through the coding from the book was a great way to get everyone dialed in to how much of a change it will really be.” – Katie Barela, Total Eye Care
With such a large adjustment just over the horizon, FoxFire is pleased we were able to address a common concern among our users. Not only have we provided education but with our built-in coding assistance, were confident our clients will be able to adapt quickly once ICD-10 launches. We appreciate Kevin Corcoran and his staff’s participation and we our glad we were able to offer users the advanced training they need to be successful.[/vc_column_text][vc_divider show_line=”yes” space_above=”0″ space_below=”0″ el_class=”divider_line3″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_ff_title el_type=”h1″ align=”left” title=”Digging Deep into the FoxFire Suite”][vc_column_text]Kicking off day two of education, FoxFire offered clients a thorough EyeMD EMR demonstration direct from the expert. FoxFire was pleased to welcome to the meeting, Abdiel Marin, President and Lead Developer at EyeMD EMR. Marin walked clients through a complete exam process, showing tips, tricks and advanced customizations that make EyeMD EMR one of the most efficient systems on the market. Clients saw the true potential of the software and were able to ask questions for any additional clarification.

The remaining portion of the scheduled education brought a variety of FoxFire staff to the podium. Clients could choose between various sessions aimed to improve practice operations from pre-testing and the exam to claim management, billing and more. We offered these sessions in hopes of addressing common areas of confusion and offering enhanced training to improve their daily operation within the software.
“The meeting not only reaffirmed a lot of things we were working on but it also introduced a lot of new information and little things we can start utilizing moving forward.” – Janelle Wilson, Jefferson Eye Care
Both doctors and staff commented on the massive amount of information they received throughout the weekend. They strengthened their working knowledge of the software and were introduced to new features and functions that will continue to improve their patient care management. We are proud to say this year’s meeting was such a huge success![/vc_column_text][vc_divider show_line=”yes” space_above=”0″ space_below=”0″ el_class=”divider_line3″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_ff_title el_type=”h1″ align=”left” title=”A Lot of Learning and Even More Fun!”][vc_column_text]As we prepared for the 2015 User Group Meeting, thoughts of last year’s winter wonderland flashed into all our minds. Although we know you all missed the negative temperatures and blowing snow, we were pleased to welcome our users to the warm, sunny, Sioux Falls, South Dakota that we’ve all grown to love. Located at the Holiday Inn-Sioux Falls City Centre, this year’s meeting took place in the heart of historic downtown Sioux Falls. From the quaint shops lining the streets to the famous Falls Park, users only had to travel a short distance to share in a little bit of what we call home.
Guests arriving Thursday evening joined the FoxFire team for our Opening Reception. A view overlooking downtown Sioux Falls created a gorgeous background for drinks and appetizers while getting to know fellow clients. Friday night, guests were treated to a delicious dinner, once again set in the rooftop hotel ballroom. After a long day of learning, clients unwound with a few drinks and got to know each other in a more personal setting. Tables were packed to the brim and the room was filled with conversation. As important as the trainings are for a meeting of this type, we understand the value of networking. Through these social events we hoped to foster more communication among our clients, creating a solid network of support.[/vc_column_text][vc_image_slider img_fixed_width=”1000″ img_fixed_height=”0″ image=”6308,6321,6320,6319,6318,6317,6316,6315,6313,6312,6311,6310,6309″][vc_divider show_line=”yes” space_above=”0″ space_below=”0″][vc_column_text]
